The Bully Blockers Club
by Teresa Bateman

Ages 6 to 9

Lotty Raccoon is excited. It is the beginning of a new school year and she has a new teacher, new backpack, and new shoes. But her enthusiasm quickly wanes when Grant Grizzly begins bullying her. This clever and realistic story teaches a variety of strategies for dealing with bullies, including using humor, ignoring the bully, asserting yourself, leaving the situation, and telling a trusted adult.

Lotty takes what she has learned one step further and creates an original solution for dealing with bullies. She notices other kids are being bullied by Grant, so she gathers everyone together and they form The Bully Blockers Club. Now when Grant tries to bully someone, the other kids speak up. That gets an adult's attention, and Grant stops his bullying! Hardcover.
